Land Rips 3 HR Friday, June 20th , 2025 Fans are still buzzing after Cincinnati whipped the Athletics by the score of 13-4 at Great American Ball Park. Sam Land smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the third baseman bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 7 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Land said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Land said. "Three is just... wow." Sam Land hit a two-run home run off Ken McIntyre in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Josh Calvert in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Eads in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. In the 2025 season Land is hitting .352 with 32 home runs. |
