Williams Goes Yard 3 Times Tuesday, June 3rd , 2025 Greg Williams went on an explosive hitting spree against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, launching a trio of blasts to help the Kansas City Royals win, 10-7. The left fielder finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Williams said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Minnesota skipper Eric Fielding said Williams was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Greg Williams walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Robert Negron in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Robert Negron in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Nate Shiver in the 9th. So far on the season, Williams is hitting .312 with 17 home runs, 49 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 70 hits and played in 62 games. |
