St. Louis Trades Quezada for Toronto's Patterson Tuesday, June 3rd , 2025 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in St. Louis and Toronto as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 35-year old 1B Alex Jauregui, 23-year old minor league 1B Tim Dutton, and 23-year old minor league 2B Tony Quezada to the Blue Jays and 26-year old RHP Brian Patterson to the Cardinals. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Toronto GM. Up to now Patterson has compiled an ERA of 2.81 with a 8-2 mark over 12 starts. He has 72 strikeouts in 73.2 innings and has held opponents to a .247 batting average. |
