Tampa Bay Trades Howard to Cincinnati for Miller Wednesday, May 28th , 2025 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Tampa Bay's 25-year old LHP Adam Howard to Cincinnati in a swap for 22-year old minor league 2B Jim Miller. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. To date this season, Howard sports a 4-1 mark with a 3.77 ERA in 11 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .271 batting average and has 65 strikeouts in 71.2 innings. |
