Big Day with Bat: Cirese 5-for-6 Friday, May 1st , 2026 It was a big day for Filippio Cirese and he brought the Inland Empire 66ers along for the ride. Cirese led his club to victory, 21-3, over the Modesto Nuts at Inland Empire Grounds, smoking Modesto pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 23-year-old catcher later called the victory "sweet." Filippio Cirese flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ruben Covarrubias in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
