Storm Pitching Ravaged by Cirese Saturday, April 18th , 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Filippio Cirese. Cirese went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Lake Elsinore pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Inland Empire Grounds, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Inland Empire 66ers had a win, 11-0, over the Storm. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Filippio Cirese singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off David Bello in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jeremy Crosby in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. So far in 2026 Cirese is batting .400 with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 35 at-bats and a .432 OBP. |
