The San Jose Giants first baseman tore up the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Oracle Park. The offensive onslaught from Plumb powered the 9-3 Giants win. "Plumb was a tough out," Rancho Cucamonga manager Earl McKay said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
