No Comeback This Season for Sparling Tuesday, July 1st , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Lake Elsinore's Jon Sparling to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 06/28/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Sparling said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Sparling has been out of action since he suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Sparling has 25 relief appearances this year with 15 saves. Sparling has also compiled a 3-1 won-lost mark with a 3.04 ERA. In 23.2 innings he has fanned 25. |
