Quakes Spencer Smacks 5 Hits Saturday, May 31st , 2025 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Tyler Spencer. The first baseman for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes hit the milestone against the Fresno Grizzlies, helping his club to a narrow 9-8 victory. Spencer finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate. "Spencer was a tough out," Fresno manager Malachi Tyree told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Tyler Spencer singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. To date this year, Spencer is batting .281 with no home runs. |
