Tarpons Carillo Smacks 5 Hits Sunday, May 3rd , 2026 Miguel Carillo was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Tarpons Grounds, the Tampa left fielder blistered the Dunedin Blue Jays for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 8-7 victory. "Carillo was too tough to get out," Blue Jays skipper Nate Barnett said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Miguel Carillo singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. For the year, Carillo is batting .344 with 2 home runs. |
