del Castillo Honored by Florida State League Monday, August 25th , 2025 When it came to hitting the baseball, Tony del Castillo was in a class by himself in the Florida State League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Daytona tagged opposing pitchers for a .619 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 13 hits in 21 at-bats, 0 homers, 5 runs scored and 2 RBIs. So far this season, del Castillo is batting .316 with 8 home runs. |
