Moore Goes on Rampage Against Tarpons Friday, August 22nd , 2025 The Daytona Tortugas stopped the Tampa Tarpons by a score of 9-2 at Tarpons Grounds, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Jordan Moore. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Moore said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Moore did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Tarpons. "Not much that I can say," offered Tampa manager David Ebner. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jordan Moore singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this year, Moore has hit .421 with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
