Goble Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 Wally Goble of the Mets was unstoppable in his team's 13-6 victory over the Jupiter Hammerheads at Hammerheads Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the St. Lucie first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Wally Goble hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Goble is batting at a .371 pace this season, picking up 23 hits in 62 at-bats with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
