5-for-6 Game for Peale Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Matt Peale was at the head of a Palm Beach Cardinals hit parade at Bradenton Fields. The 22-year-old went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Bradenton Marauders that marched off with the 4-3 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Cardinals skipper Scott Anderson following the game. "Matt did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Peale did more than fine, dominating the Marauders at the plate during his record-making 5-for-6 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging center fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Matt Peale singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th. This year, Peale is hitting at a .289 pace with 5 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 29 games and scored 13 times. |
