Flying Tigers Pitching Ravaged by Haugland Wednesday, July 2nd , 2025 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Fort Myers Mighty Mussels right fielder Nick Haugland, who missed the team's pre-game session at Flying Tigers Park but peppered the Lakeland Flying Tigers for 5 hits come game time. The Mighty Mussels went on to grab the 9-1 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Nick Haugland singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this year, Haugland has 5 home runs and a .336 batting average. |
