Roberson Batters Daytona for 5 Hits Saturday, June 14th , 2025 The Lakeland Flying Tigers stopped the Daytona Tortugas by a score of 10-3 at Flying Tigers Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Ryan Roberson. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Roberson said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Roberson did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Tortugas. "Not much that I can say," offered Daytona manager Ryan Lynch. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Ryan Roberson singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jason Kadlec in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 7th. For the year, Roberson is batting .435 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
