Gallagher Sizzles with 37-Game Batting Streak

Clearwater lost to the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 8-4, at Threshers Park, but Ryan Gallagher kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Threshers shortstop has now delivered hits in 37 straight games.
"Ryan has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Clearwater manager Jerry Scott told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Ryan Gallagher hit a solo-shot off Jesus Sisneros in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season, Gallagher is swinging the bat at a .399 rate with 61 hits in 153 at-bats. To date he has hit 3 home runs, scored 15 runs and driven in 24.
