League Rules Walters Out 3 Games Thursday, May 28th , 2026 The Everett AquaSox were not very happy with the home plate umpire in today's loss to Eugene at Emeralds Grove. One in particular -- Sam Walters. Upon being called out on strikes, the AquaSox third baseman gave the ump quite an earful. For that, the man in blue gave him the thumb and sent him to an early shower. But the disgruntled Walters lingered on the field for another five minutes, berating the umpire. Finally his manager got him off the field and into the clubhouse. But it got worse after the game, when Walters told reporters, "He was awful out there. They played 'Three Blind Mice' for him." For his escapades and after-the-game oration, the league office suspended Walters for 3 games. This season, Walters is batting .264 with 3 home runs. His totals include 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
