NWL's Top Player, Trainor of Hillsboro Monday, May 4th , 2026 Pitchers who faced the Hillsboro Hops last week were happy to see Phil Trainor in the rear-view mirror. The 23-year-old first baseman was dubbed the Northwest League Player of the Week for a 7-game tear that saw him hit at a .545 clip. For the week he also chalked up 12 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Trainor is batting .318 this year with 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 85 at-bats. |
