Injury Shuts Down Saidana for Season Monday, May 26th , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Rome's Omar Saidana to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 05/23/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Saidana said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Saidana has been out of action since he suffered shoulder inflammation. Saidana has taken the mound for 9 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 1-0 record with a 5.65 ERA. The Rome reliever has limited opposing batters to a .345 batting average. |
