Pitcher of the Month Named in SAL

The South Atlantic League announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to bullpen ace Graham Paulk of Brooklyn for his outstanding work on the mound.
During the month, the Cyclones star stood out with 6 saves in 7 save opportunities, a 0.79 ERA and 4 wins and no losses. In 11.1 innings he struck out 10 and gave up 7 hits and 3 walks.
So far this year, Paulk has chalked up 7 saves. In 20 relief appearances, he has 15 strikeouts in 19.1 innings with a 3.72 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 5-0.

Ruley Cops SAL Batter of the Month Honors

Mark Ruley has a lot going for him. The Jersey Shore left fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the South Atlantic League has just picked him as its top hitter for May.

Ruley is hitting .357 this year with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .435, 21 walks and scored 19 times.
