Hickory's Culver SAL Star of the Week Monday, May 5th , 2025 20-year-old John Culver made a few Hickory headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and South Atlantic League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 33 at-bats to put up a .364 average. Culver collected 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Culver on the season is batting .383 with 5 home runs. His totals include 25 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 23 games. |
