Cioffi 5-for-5 Against Dash Sunday, May 4th , 2025 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Bowling Green's 19-2 win over Winston-Salem, shortstop John Cioffi was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Hot Rods Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Cioffi said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." John Cioffi singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. In this current campaign Cioffi is hitting at a .367 clip with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. |
