SAL Star of the Week Announced Monday, April 28th , 2025 When it came to hitting the baseball, Kodai Takase was in a class by himself in the South Atlantic League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Jersey Shore tagged opposing pitchers for a .591 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 13 hits in 22 at-bats, 1 homers, 5 runs scored and 5 RBIs. This season, Takase has posted a batting average of .448 with 30 hits in 67 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs. He has also scored 16 runs, walked 3 times and compiled a .465 OBP. |
