They came up empty when it mattered against Hickory Crawdads left-hander Brian Tinker, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Blue Rocks scoreless. "We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Wilmington manager Tommy Osborne said later. Tinker chalked up 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 5-0 Crawdads win. |
