Miller Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, May 5th , 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Derrick Miller. Miller went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Aberdeen pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ironbirds Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Bowling Green Hot Rods had a win, 10-4, over the Ironbirds. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Derrick Miller singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Fausto Pacelli in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. |
