Ramirez Slams 5 Hits for Greensboro Friday, April 24th , 2026 Greensboro left fielder Edwin Ramirez had a big day at Grasshoppers Stadium against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. The 23-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 6-3 Grasshoppers triumph over Jersey Shore. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Ramirez said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Edwin Ramirez tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. So far in 2026 Ramirez is batting .246 with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 57 at-bats and a .306 OBP. |
