Cyclones, Pineda Blank Hickory, 9-0 Wednesday, July 23rd , 2025 In a seemingly effortless performance, Gabriel Pineda of the Brooklyn Cyclones shot down the Hickory Crawdads, 9-0, on 3 hits. "Gabriel was just locating so well and using his pitches," Brooklyn manager Ryan Temple said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Pineda recorded 9 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Hickory manager Antonio Jones said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." This season, Pineda has compiled a 5-8 record with a 4.22 ERA. |
