Great Day for Rodriguez -- 5 Hits Friday, May 30th , 2025 Eddie Rodriguez exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Wilmington. The Bowling Green third baseman had a field day in his team's 15-4 triumph over the Wilmington Blue Rocks, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Rodriguez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Eddie Rodriguez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Herron in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Rodriguez has socked 30 hits in 93 at-bats for a .323 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .357 pace and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
