Red-Hot Flores Scorches Lugnuts Saturday, May 24th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Wisconsin Timber Rattlers second baseman Dave Flores, but a tough one for the team, as the Timber Rattlers dropped the contest, 7-6, to the Lansing Lugnuts. Even with the loss, Flores was pure misery for the Lansing pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Flores, who is the 20-year old second baseman . "Flores really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Lugnuts manager Jason Janzen told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Dave Flores hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Flores has 5 home runs and a .437 batting average. |
