Evans Wins MID Player of the Week Trophy

What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything.
The numbers that Wisconsin's Marc Evans put up last week were the envy of the league, as Evans came away with Midwest League Player of the Week honors.
He belted out 9 hits in 16 at-bats, no home runs and 0 RBIs last week as he posted his .562 batting average.

Rookie Lansing Lugnuts' first baseman Leads East to Win in Annual All-Star Game

Wrigley Field was the place to be for baseball fans tonight, as the best MID players gathered for the annual all-star game.
On the field, the East downed the West by a score of 8-3. Off the field, game MVP Bill Gaines said he thinks everyone had a good night.
"You looked into the stands and it seemed like everyone was having a fantastic time," said the 18-year-old, who went 3-for-3 in the game. "A game like this is good for the sport."
