Hit Parade: Herrera Pops 5 Hits
Wednesday, August 27th , 2025
Jon Herrera was at the head of a Peoria Chiefs hit parade at Timber Rattlers Stadium. The 24-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers that marched off with the 15-7 win.
"We didn't have it today," griped Chiefs skipper Cameron Mandrell following the game. "Jon did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."
Herrera did more than fine, dominating the Timber Rattlers at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance.
"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging right fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
Jon Herrera hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Herrera is currently hitting at a .350 pace with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs.
