Marin Raps Quad Cities for 6 Hits
Saturday, May 2nd , 2026
The Beloit Snappers stopped the Quad Cities River Bandits by a score of 17-8 at Quad Cities Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Manny Marin. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 6 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Marin said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Marin did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the River Bandits.

"Not much that I can say," offered Quad Cities manager Sean McBride. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Manny Marin flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Marin is currently batting .373 with 2 home runs, 9 runs scored and 17 RBIs. His OBP is .398.
