Midwest League's Best Batter Announced Monday, September 1st , 2025 One of the league's most exciting young players, Jon Herrera of the Peoria Chiefs earned himself Midwest League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 24-year-old right fielder had a lofty .524 average (11-for-21), collecting 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. For the season, Herrera has produced 114 hits in 325 at-bats for a .351 average with 15 home runs and gotten on base at a .429 clip. |
