Carrasco on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Fort Wayne Friday, August 29th , 2025 Lugnuts catcher Mario Carrasco had his way with Fort Wayne pitching at Lansing Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the TinCaps ruined his great day by toppling the Lugnuts, 9-4. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Fort Wayne credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Carrasco did today," TinCaps skipper Ronnie Williams said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Mario Carrasco singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
