Brown Belts 5 Hits Thursday, August 14th , 2025 5 times is the charm -- at least for Chris Brown. The Peoria Chiefs catcher tore up the Quad Cities River Bandits to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Chiefs Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Brown powered the 15-5 Chiefs win. "Brown was a tough out," Quad Cities manager Sean McBride said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Chris Brown hit a solo-shot off Greg Benson in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. So far in 2025 Brown is batting .327 with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 214 at-bats and a .402 OBP. |
