League Suspends Almazo and Selzer for Fisticuffs Sunday, August 10th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Jose Almazo of Lansing and Andy Selzer of West Michigan, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Almazo said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Almazo is currently hitting .327 with 11 home runsand 68 RBIs, while scoring 73 runs. On the year, Selzer has compiled a 5-6 mark with a 4.71 ERA. |
