Mendoza on Fire: Burns Beloit with 3 HR Friday, August 8th , 2025 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Snappers Field buzzing, West Michigan Whitecaps third baseman Jordan Mendoza blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-1, over the Beloit Snappers. "Everything was clicking," Mendoza told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Mendoza shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Whitecaps manager Jeff Christopher said. "Jordan played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Jordan Mendoza flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bryan Rumsey in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Bryan Rumsey in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Alex Salais in the 9th. So far in 2025 Mendoza is batting .284 with 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 201 at-bats and a .351 OBP. |
