5-Hit Blitz by Guzman Thursday, August 7th , 2025 Lansing center fielder Jordan Guzman could do no wrong in his team's 10-5 win over the Timber Rattlers, as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Timber Rattlers skipper Jimmy Baillargeon said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Guzman agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Jordan Guzman singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. In 98 games this year, Guzman has posted a .340 average and put up these numbers: 9 home runs, 42 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
