Quad Cities-Great Lakes Brawl, Wilson and Vilhais Suspended Tuesday, July 29th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Brian Wilson of Quad Cities and Belchyor Vilhais of Great Lakes, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 11 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Wilson said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Thus far in 2025, Wilson is hitting .297 with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs, 20 runs scored and has compiled a .362 OBP. To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In 25 relief appearances, Vilhais has 37 strikeouts in 57.1 innings with a 4.40 ERA and a 3-2 mark. |
