Salzman Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, July 20th , 2025 Korey Salzman exploded for a barrage of base hits at Lake County Stadium. The Cedar Rapids left fielder had a field day in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Lake County Captains, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Salzman must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Korey Salzman doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far in 2025, Salzman is hitting .328 with no home runs, 6 RBIs, 8 runs scored and has compiled a .371 OBP. |
