Super Week for Great Lakes's Newell! Monday, June 16th , 2025 It was an extraordinary week for Stephen Newell of the Great Lakes Loons. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .500, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Midwest League. Last week Newell went 9-for-18, racked up 2 home runs and 10 RBIs and scored 2 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Great Lakes second baseman.
