5-for-5 Day for Tang Friday, June 13th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Yu-zhang Tang as he led the charge to a nifty 12-3 win over the Whitecaps. The Lansing second baseman was pure misery for the West Michigan pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Tang put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jeff Christopher, manager for the Whitecaps, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Yu-zhang Tang hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Sal Rocha in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Tang is batting .373 with 3 home runs. His totals include 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
