Hernandez 5-for-5 for Snappers Saturday, June 7th , 2025 Rob Hernandez was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Snappers Field, the Beloit first baseman blistered the South Bend Cubs for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 8-7 victory. "Hernandez was too tough to get out," Cubs skipper Rory Powell said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Rob Hernandez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. During the current season Hernandez is batting at a .301 clip with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 42 games and scored 13 times. |
