Hits Galore: Kopman Drills 5 Hits Monday, June 2nd , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Brett Kopman of the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Kernels Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Kopman finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Kernels to a win, 11-6. "Kopman was really good and we were really bad," groaned Captains manager Brian Musick. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Brett Kopman singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Travis Lau in the 4th, walked in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. |
