Lugnuts Almazo Named MID's #1 Player Monday, June 2nd , 2025 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jose Almazo was in a class by himself in the Midwest League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding third baseman for Lansing tagged opposing pitchers for a .393 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 homers, 7 runs scored and 11 RBIs. Almazo is batting .341 this year with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 182 at-bats. |
