The 26-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 19-15 Curve triumph over New Hampshire. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Montagnana said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Manuel Montagnana doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 10th. On the year, Montagnana is hitting .362 with 21 hits, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs, .456 OBP and has scored 12 runs. |
