Frantz Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, May 7th , 2025 New Hampshire Fisher Cats center fielder Paul Frantz had a day to remember at Fisher Cats Field, ripping apart the Reading Fightin Phils and sparking the 10-9 Fisher Cats win. Frantz wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Frantz told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Paul Frantz doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. |
