Altoona's Lopez Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, May 7th , 2025 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Sergio Lopez. Lopez went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Harrisburg pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Curve Grove, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Altoona Curve had a win, 7-3, over the Senators. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Sergio Lopez singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This season, Lopez has banged out 27 hits in 59 at-bats for a .458 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .522 pace and his totals also include 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
