Stoll on Fire: 5-for-6 for Somerset Monday, April 28th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jared Stoll -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Binghamton Fields and paced the 12-9 Patriots win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. After his dynamite batting performance, the Somerset first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Jared Stoll doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Miller in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and singled in the 11th. This season, Stoll has delivered 24 hits in 78 at-bats for a .308 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .379 clip and his totals also include 8 RBIs and 12 runs scored. This year Stoll has played in 18 games. |
