Hits Blitz for Senators Rodriguez Monday, May 18th , 2026 Roberto Rodriguez was jubilant as the Harrisburg Senators left the field with a win, 10-2, over the Hartford Yard Goats. He had every right to be. The 25-year-old second baseman hit for the cycle at Ballpark of Hartford, had a 4-for-5 game and added 6 RBI and 3 runs to boot. "It's too bad I can't do that every day," Rodriguez said with a smile to reporters after the game. "It would do wonders for my batting average." Harrisburg manager Nick Matthies was "proud" of the second baseman's feat, but was not expecting it to happen. "Cycles are tough because triples are tough," the skipper said. "As soon as the ball left the bat on that triple, guys were jumping off the bench for him. Honestly, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to leg it out." Roberto Rodriguez hit a solo-shot off Sang-keun Kim in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Rodriguez is hitting .333 in 2026 with 9 RBIs and 3 home runs. |
